Pranitha Subhash is an Indian film actress, model and enterpreneur who appears in Kannada, Telugu and Tamil films. She was born and raised in Bangalore and pursued a career in modelling before plunging into films.
Pranitha Subhash was born to Subhash and Jayashri, Both of them are doctors and run a hospital in the city of Bangalore. She debuted as an actor in the 2010 Kannada film, Porki, a remake of Telugu film Pokiri, and in the same year starred in the Telugu film, Em Pillo Em Pillado. Pranitha went on to appear in several successful kannada, Telugu and Tamil films like Baava, Attarintiki Daredi, Bheema Theeradalli, Whistle, Massu Engira Masilamani and Enakku Vaaitha Adimaigal. Her role of Bheemavva was highly appreciated by the film critics. For that, she won the nomination for Best Actress at the Filmfare Award Kannada, and won Santosham award.
Pranitha Subhash has endorsed brands like Joyalukkas, SVB Silks Salem, Bombay Jewellery, Welight Academy of Education, Sri Lakshmi Jewellery, Pondichery and RS Brothers. She was signed as the brand ambassador of the team Karnataka Bulldozers in the Celebrity Cricket League in its third season in 2013. She bought stakes in a hospitality company and now co-owns a restaurant.
Pranitha has been involved in various philanthropic activities in India. She is working towards modernising public education in Karnataka by adopting schools and providing them with better infrastructure and sanitation facilities. In April 2019, the Election Commission, had appointed her as a brand ambassador to promote awareness among general public on voting before the 2019 general election in India.
